Fly fishers from across North America and around the World are invited to register for this prestigious, international loch-style fly fishing championship. Members of the Canadian, British, and U.S.A. National Fly Fishing Teams, and competitors from Europe, the United Kingdom, and North America will be on hand to compete for the team and individual titles, medals, and the highly-coveted NALSFFC Cup.
To date - through registration fees, proceeds from the silent auction, and the generous support of Highland Valley Copper and their staff - this event has helped to raise a grand total of $158,000.00 for the B.C. Children's Hospital over the past 7 years...
Tunkwa Lake East, Tunkwa Lake West, Roche Lake, Corbett Lake, and Batstone Lake (Seven Half Diamond Ranch) will be used for the competition venues for this year's championship. Tunkwa Lake Resort will be the headquarters for the 2017 North American Loch-Style Fly Fishing Championships. Tunkwa Lake Resort is situated near the town of Logan Lake, British Columbia, which is approximately 60 kilometer southwest of Kamloops. There will be a total of five, 3-hour sessions of loch-style fishing.
Dates: September 23 - 29, 2018.
Entry fee: $300.00 per person, which includes lunches on all 3 days of the competition and dinner at the awards banquet/closing ceremonies.
Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top three teams and individuals, and the Cup to the top team.
Competition Rules: FIPS-MOUCHE rules apply
Special Angling Regulation: All fishing must be performed on a catch and release basis with a single fly.
Eligible species: Rainbow Trout.
Minimum length: 18cm.
Maximum Number of Teams: 12 five-man teams ( 60 competitors ).
The maximum number of teams (and competitors) for this year's championship has been set at 12 teams (5 competitors per team). Competitors can register as teams or will be assigned to a team if they register as an individual. Approval of the applications for this event are processed and approved on a first-come, first-served basis for teams that comply with the registration requirements (see Registration page for details on the registration requirements and rules)...
